Title
Development and Evaluation of a Pavilion Exhibit Feedback System for a World Expo 2005 by Using a Comment Card Database System for Mobile Phones
Abstract
The comment card database system for mobile phones designed by Miyata in 2003 was adapted to develop and implement a pavilion exhibit feedback system for mobile phones. This pavilion exhibit feedback system was planned for the visitors to the Central America Joint Pavilion during the Aichi World Exposition in 2005. We were able to demonstrate the latest mobile technologies of Japan to the organizers from the seven Central American countries as well as provide a ubiquitous environment for visitors wherein they could respond to a questionnaire while waiting in a queue to enter a busy pavilion or when in transit. As a result, approximately 1000 comments were obtained from visitors on a daily basis. The pavilion exhibits were improved based on the evaluation points and opinions that were obtained, and we were able confirm that the visitors appreciated these improvements. The feedback system was also positively evaluated by the visitors.
