Title
Optimal Placement And Capacity Allocation Of Distributed Energy Storage Devices In Distribution Networks
Abstract
The distributed energy storage system (DESS) which is a composition of distributed energy storage (DES) can provide load-shifting service to the grid. This paper gives its physical structure and formulates the optimal placement and capacity allocation of DES in distribution networks. Considering the randomness of load data, the method based on greedy algorithm can solve the problem effectively, and can be applied to large-scale systems. In order to validate the effectiveness of proposed methods, case study is carried out and shows that DES outperforms centralized energy storage with respect to load shifting applications.
