Title
Estimate of heavy metals in soil and streams using combined geochemistry and field spectroscopy in Wan-sheng mining area, Chongqing, China.
Abstract
•Six models were built to estimate Al, Cu, and Cr in the soil and water of the mining area in the study area.•Spectral features of Al, Cu and Cr in the soil and water were derived from measured spectra.•There is a significant linear correlation between spectral features and heavy metals contents in the soil and water of the study area.•The distribution of heavy metals contents in the water of the whole study area was mapped using inverse distance weighted.•The distribution maps show that the heavy metals in the soil have some interaction with the heavy metals in the water in the study area.
