Title
A novel scheme to ease the problem of OBSS networks based on admission control and TPC
Abstract
Since wireless local area network (WLAN) can support high transmission rate with low cost, the use of WLAN is increasing rapidly. The WLAN has become very congested, and in the dense environment, Overlapping BSS (basic set service) problem may be introduced, which will severely degrade the performance of the network. Transmission power control (TPC) of AP (Access Point) is considered as one of the techniques which can relieve the problem. We proposed a novel scheme to ease the OBSS problem mainly based on admission control (AC) and transmission power control. Besides in our scheme we also consider load balancing among APs to improve system performance. Ongoing NS2 simulations demonstrate that the scheme that we proposed is more effective than traditional 802.11 scheme.
