This paper presents the development of parallel processing subsystems as part of multi-wavelength imaging pyrometers (M-WIPs) for real-time non-contact temperature measurement. The parallel processing subsystems are based on V-C40 Hydra or PC-Hydra which consists of four TMS320C40 floating-point digital signal processors. This paper describes the Single-Program-Multiple-Data implementation of the least-square fitting algorithm used in the M-WIP temperature measurement and compares its performance with the Multi-Program-Multiple-Data approach. |
